The Habersham County Balanced Scorecard is not only a performance measurement tool, but also a strategic management tool.  It provides for the development of targets and initiatives that drive change and improvement, and communicates organizational performance and strategy to internal and external stakeholders.

Habersham County Board of Education approved Strategic Goal Area 1 - Student Achievement and Growth - Monday, September 14, 2009.  Listed within strategic goal area 1 are four performance objectives:  Improve the high school graduation rate, decrease the dropout rate, and increase the post-secondary and/or workforce readiness rate; Reduce achievement gaps among identified subgroups; Increase mastery of the curriculum; and Ensure nationally competitive students.
